My mind has touched the farthest horizons of mortal imagination and reaches ever outward to embrace infinity. There is no knowledge beyond my comprehension, no art or skill upon this entire planet that lies beyond the mastery of my hand. And yet, like Faust, I look in vain, I learn in vain... For as long as I live, no woman will ever look on me in love.
The area which this story came from is mostly Hispanic and they were the ones that complained. I could understand if the boy was displaying a flag of another country or something that promoted violence or hatred, but its OUR flag. If I lived in Mexico or Spain or some other country and someone displayed their flag, I wouldn't protest because its their flag. Why should it be a problem here? I just don't get it.
The person who told him to take that flag down was not "thinking". What the heck. Now he's probably realized his mistake and is too embarrassed to talk to anyone. What a dweeb.
This is absurd and absolutely infuriating. What's more this kid's parents are LETTING him comply with this unconstitutional demand, and are not planning to take legal action??? THIS IS WHY these people do this--they get away with it!!! You can bet your socks that if it was a non-American flag and an ethnic child that had been told to remove his country's flag, this story would be a very different one.
